Meet, Tarrah Stern, inspiring mother and apparel designer for Academy Sports & Outdoors. Today I am so excited to feature her for my first 'Titan Mother' Interview . Tarrah and I worked together as pre-production coordinators at Sharon Young inc. in Dallas, TX. We then shared our pregnancy's about one month apart from each another, and both made the decision to move from Dallas to Houston to be closer to our loved ones. It is really neat to share that much in common with someone and today I am thrilled to share Tarrah's mom interview. As a sweet treat I also hope you enjoy these beautiful photos of her and her daughter, Aubrey, from their Tea Party inspired photo shoot by KMH Portraits.

1. You most recently became a new mommy in 2013 and your daughter Aubrey is a little over 2 now. What would you say is your most favorite part about being a new mother?
Since becoming a mother my entire life has changed. My family has become my #1 priority. Being a mommy is really a 24/7 job that never stops! The past 2 years I have been so lucky to be able to see my daughter grow up into this little human and I think that alone is one of my favorite parts of being a mother. There is no better feeling then seeing the baby that once grew inside you for 9 months grow up into a "mini you".... its incredible.
2. We absolutely love your Tea Party themed photo shoot by KMH Portraits, what inspired the style and theme of your photos?
I love to have fun and try new things with Aubrey and our tea party was every part of that. I try to always pick something new for us to do and our tea party session was captured on camera and we had a blast! I wanted soft/natural lighting, pastel colors and flowers to be the theme of the Tea Party and to really be able to capture us having fun with each other. I am building a "Mommy & Me" photobook that captures mini photoshoots such as this one to be able to give Aubrey something to look back on when she is older.
Our photographer did a wonderful job!
3. You hold a degree in fashion design and are very successful in your career today. Can you tell us a little bit about your position with Academy and how you juggle a growing career and a toddler?
Ahhh... one of the toughest things about being a mommy is being a working mommy with a career! I must say that it is very tough, some days more than others, but thankfully I LOVE my career and working for Academy Sports & Outdoors is great. I get to design apparel, specifically Magellan brand, and have fun while doing it. I also work with a great group of people that make coming to work easy. I've learned that having a routine and sticking to it is the best way to get through the week., both at home and at work. Thankfully, I am naturally the type of person that likes to always be busy and everyday this gets put to the test!
4. What is your favorite time of day with your little titan?
I would say the evening is the best time of day with my daughter. After coming home from a long day at work and seeing her smile I immediately get that extra burst of energy and her face reminds me why I just worked so hard. She loves to help me while I am preparing dinner, setting the table and cleaning. She picks up on everything so naturally and she is a hands on learner so including her in as much as possible is something I try to do. We also love going on walks in the evening and visiting the neighborhood ducks. Weekends are by far my favorite time though!!
5. What would you say has been the most memorable adventure created so far with your little titan?
Defiantly the most memorable adventure created so far would be our trip to Disney World in January. I have never seen the amount of happiness in Aubrey's eyes before then what I saw that day . She loved every minute of it and was able to meet her Favorite Disney character Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. She had a smile across her face the entire day and we gave her EVERYTHING she wanted! We have photos displayed in her bedroom of her hugging Minnie and I find her staring at the photo from time to time and I smile knowing how happy that trip made her. We cannot wait to take her back!!
That concludes Tarrah's story and I want to personally thank her and KMH Portraits for letting me share these beautiful photos on The Titan Adventures. This has been my favorite blog post so far as I love connecting with other moms to hear about one another's joys, challenges and the unconditional love we share for our little titan's. Thank you so much and I hope to share a Titan Mother Story on the blog monthly. Wishing you all a wonderful and blessed week.
Until our next adventure,
A Titan's Mother
