Today I'm sharing a DIY mini pink pumpkin tutorial in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I have known many women that have fought and very fortunately won the fight on breast cancer, and I know there are still so many women that are battling this disease every day. I pray for those women and I wish them and their family the very best. If you have a friend or family member that is currently fighting breast cancer, what better way then to surprise them with these adorable mini pink pumpkins.
This is a super simple tutorial that you can do in a couple hours from start to finish. I plan on displaying my pumpkins at the front door and I will use them for table decor during Thanksgiving.
For this project, you will need the following materials:
- (5) mini faux white pumpkins
- (1) can pink spray paint
- Super glue
I bought my pumpkins at Hobby Lobby and the stems were glued on and really easy to simply pull off with my hands. I took the stems off so I could easily spray paint them. If your not able to take the stems off your pumpkins you could easily use painters tape to tape up the stem to keep it covered while you are spray painting.
Take your pink spray paint and paint two coats on your white pumpkins on the top of the pumpkin, then at the bottom. Allow to dry for 30 minutes at a time.
Once your pumpkins are dry use super glue to glue your stems back on. Then allow to dry for 30 minutes.
Enjoy and display your pumpkins. I am currently displaying my mini pumpkins at the front door for a bright and cheerful Fall display.
That completes my tutorial for these mini pink pumpkins! I love the way they turned out and I hope you get the chance to make some of your own, or give to someone who might enjoy them. In the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness month I also want to let you know that one of my favorite shops, Boho Betty , is an official sponsor of The National Breast Cancer Foundation and you can shop their breast cancer collection here. For every bracelet that is purchased from this collection Boho Betty will donate $1.00 from the sale of each bracelet to NBCF to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services. I'm wearing the Candy Dazzler Double Wrap Bracelet from the collection and it is one of my favorites.
