Hello Spring! The little titan and I spent our first day of Spring doing some spring gardening in the backyard this past weekend. I was inspired by all of the bougainvillea plants in LA when I visited my sister last month, and so we picked up two of our own at our local Lowe's store. The purple flowers on the bougainvillea plants give our backyard a little color which was desperately needed!
Atlas was so ready to help as always. I can hardly do anything anymore without him completely taking over the project. I don't mind though, it's nice to have a little helper following you around! I always look forward to working in the yard during the spring, even though I'm not very good at it. You'd think I would be considering my upbringing by two parents with green thumbs, but the truth is I'm still not that great at it. That's why I go for easy pants such as these dry tolerate bougainvillea plants. They require little water and take the heat well, which is perfect for Texas climate and our backyard. We'll see how they last the summer.
Each time we get out in the backyard Atlas goes straight for his yellow L.L. Bean boots. He slips them on and off all by himself, and we keep them at the back door for his afternoon excursions and rainy day's. The cold snap this weekend was perfect for Atlas to pair his yellow boots with his new L.L. Bean rain jacket which also works well as a windbreaker. Atlas's grandparents sent this to him and we love the bright yellow of course to match his boots! His rain jacket is light weight and perfect for a chilly morning in the yard or for a rainy day. The hood gives just enough coverage and keeps him dry. I see rainy days ahead this spring and look forward to seeing him in this outfit over and over again. What can I say, he looks good in L.L. Bean yellow!
Both the jacket and boots are currently on sale at L.L.Bean.com for any mommy's out there looking for a perfect rainy day set for their little titan's. I also love these navy rain pants from L.L. Bean, I definitely foresee them in Atlas's closet in the near future. If I had a little girl she would be sporting this pink raincoat and pink rain boots along side with Atlas. Maybe one day! I hope you enjoyed the first day of spring as much as we did. What did you and your little ones do to celebrate this past weekend?
