Front Porch Ice Cream Date

Is there anything more relaxing than sitting on a front porch rocking chair on a nice spring day in Texas! I think not! This beautiful front porch and white rocking chairs belong to my parents at their cozy country home. This past week we had the chance to get nice and comfy with my parents as our power went out at our house for almost 4 days due to the storms here.  I have lived in north Houston for most of my life and I have never seen storms like we have had recently.  My heart goes out to all those affected by the flooding and storms in the south, and I pray that the worst of the weather is over.

It is starting to get hot here in Houston and so Atlas and I grabbed some ice cream and enjoyed my parents beautiful front porch while we were away from home. Mr. Atlas looks just adorable in his new Carters outfit he got from his Nana and Pawpaw for his birthday. I love the mint color of this set and you will find him in this outfit all summer long. My in-laws always find the cutest outfits from Carters and they have become a staple in our closet. Carters is currently having their friends and family sale and you can get an additional 25% off with code FRIENDS valid by the end of today 5/11. I couldn't find Atlas's set online, but I have picked out some of my summer favorites for little boys at the end of this blog post. I love the neon colors Carters has chosen for fun and bright spring and summer clothes.

I found the cutest pair of gingham pants at Old Navy for me; I feel like Audrey Hepburn in them. I love a classic pair of black and white gingham pants, they are dramatic yet simple at the same time and currently under $30.00. I paired them with a simple black peplum top and my favorite straw boater hat from Nordstrom for a classic look. Find links at the end of this post and happy shopping.
