Texas Travel- The Port of Galveston, TX
Last summer when Atlas was only 2, my family and I took him to visit the cruise boats at The Port of Galveston for a short and sweet little day trip. It's amazing to see how large the cruise ships are up close and a beautiful site to see them right from the port. We had lunch at the amazing Fisherman's Wharf which has a beautiful patio right off the port with a perfect view of the cruise ships. We sat at our table of eight, enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch with cocktails, and watching the cruise ships from our table. It was a lovely day trip and I have been wanting to go back ever since we left. With my husband's school and work schedule it has been impossible to make it back to Galveston lately, but I love living so close to the beach. There are so many fun things to do on Galveston island and I am looking forward to next summer when we will have more time to enjoy the season.
For a little more information on Fisherman's Wharf check out their full menu here. I had the Lobsterman's Fondue and if you love cheese and lobster I definitely recommend it. You can see more photos of the restaurant and the port here from their website. My mom actually found this restaurant for us and I'm so glad she did because it was a great choice!
Our visit to The Port of Galveston was a great day with family and I hope you get the chance to visit sometime. To help you remember in the future, I'd love it if you'd pin my Pinterest image at the end of this post to save this day trip idea to your Texas adventure list!
I love how cute Atlas looks in these photos, and I can't believe this was almost a year ago. He is such a little handsome man and I especially love when he wears fedoras, shop my favorite fedora's for little boys below. He has this one in navy straw which he wears all the time, and this one is similar to the one in the photos.
